There are several ways to submit medical information and request an appointment with the surgery. You can:

Please avoid making appointments for self limiting viral illnesses like cough, colds, diarrhoea. Antibiotics will not help viral illnesses. Remember you can also get advice from the pharmacist. This will allow doctors to see patients who are in need of urgent attention. Please also note that consultations with the doctor are limited to the patient who has booked the appointment.

Request an appointment using AccuRx

Our online consultation system AccuRx allows you to submit details about your condition in a simple form, request medical advice and appointments. You can also use this online system to request fit notes, GP letters, medical reports, medication reviews and test results.

Using AccuRx is very simple:  complete a simple form about your problem or request, your GPs decide on the best treatment for you and we will, call email, or text you with advice, a prescription or an appointment.

Please note that due to clinical safety, this online service is available 6am - 6:30pm Monday to Friday. If your enquiry is urgent, please call the surgery outside of these times.

Book an appointment with the NHS App

You can also book, view and cancel appointments at the Surgery using the NHS App on your smartphone or tablet (or by using NHS Services on a computer). The NHS App allows you to order repeat prescriptions and check your GP medical record.

Types of appointments

When you need an appointment with a doctor, please be aware that there are different types of appointments available as described below. 

  • Telephone consultations - A clinician will call you in a given time window
  • Online consultations - A clinician can text you in response to your query 
  • Video consultations - A clinician with send you a link to join them for a video consultation
  • Face to Face consultations - A clinician will see you at the surgery if there is a clinical need.

Routine pre-booked appointments

These appointments can be booked  up to one week in advance

  • They are generally available early in the morning and towards the end of the evening surgery
  • More slots are available 
  • You can ring at your convenience
  • This  is encouraged, as you need not ring the surgery repeatedly at the peak time 8.00am to 9.00 am

Pre-book in the week :

  • Slots are also made available to book in the current week depending on the availability
  • For example call on Monday to book up to Friday that week

Same-day appointments

These appointments are available on the day you ring.

  • You may have to ring between 8.00-9.00am when lines are busy, hence it is advisable to pre-book an appointment wherever possible
  • These appointments start 9.30am
  • Limited slots available
  • You may have to see any GP and depends on the available slots

Emergency appointments

These appointments are for:

  • Urgent illnesses which must be seen the same day when available slots are full
  • Children under 2 years
  • Palliative care patients

Telephone appointments

These appointments are generally booked regarding:

  • minor ailments /advice
  • to discuss test results
  • for medication reviews 
  • for administrative matters

Please ring 020 8330 4056 between 8.00am and 10.30am to request a telephone consultation. The doctor will call you back during the morning or afternoon surgery times. Please leave your contact number and you will be contacted once. If not answered or unable to leave message, you have to ring back again.

Nurse and Healthcare Assistant appointments

Nurse appointments can be booked in advance, up to two weeks ahead.

Extended hours appointments

Our extended hours  at the surgery are 7.30am-8.00 am Monday to Friday.

Kingston GP extended hours service

This service operates 7 days a week from 8:00am until 8.00pm and patients of the practice can book an appointment at a convenient time with the GP Service provider through our reception team.

Home visits

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability. Please try to telephone reception between 8.00am and 10.30am if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.

Emergencies are situations that cannot be managed at home and may be life threatening.

Non-urgent situations

If you need medical advice or to see a doctor call 111. There will be someone to provide you with advice and to direct you to a clinician if it is necessary.

Text message and Email reminders

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments. To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.

Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.

Cancelling appointments

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.

You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.
