Our Practice Team consists of our Healthcare staff - GPs, Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and the management and support team - Practice Manager, Secretaries, and Receptionists.
General practitioners (GPs) treat all common medical conditions and refer patients to hospitals and other medical services for urgent and specialist treatment. They focus on the health of the whole person, combining physical, psychological and social aspects of care. Our GPs are highly trained doctors who deal with medical problems where you may feel acutely ill, or for follow up for an ongoing problem.
In recent years, the role of Nurses and Healthcare Assistants in General Practice surgeries has greatly expanded, and the illnesses and conditions that they can deal with have increased. The team undertake various duties including taking ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, cervical smears, ear care and can give immunisations including childhood, travel, influenza, and tetanus jabs. The nursing team are ably supported by our Healthcare Assistants.
The efficient running of Sunray Surgery could not be achieved without our dedicated staff of management, receptionists, adminstrators and secretaries led by our Practice Manager Vicky Allen
