Your NHS number is a 10-digit number, like 485 777 3456. You can find your NHS number on any letter from the NHS like a prescription or appointment letter.
If you do not have any of these available, the NHS provides a service on their website that will find your NHS number and send it to you via text, email, or letter.
The service will ask you for your name, date of birth and postcode, and you can then choose to receive your NHS number via a text, email or have a letter with your NHS number sent to you.
If you're using this service for someone else, enter their details. They'll be sent their NHS number.
